This bijoux store designed by Tacklebox Architecture is the first international location of the venerable Portuguese beauty and fragrance house. The reductive, highly geometric design which references the historic facade of the Casa dos Bicos in Lisbon, lends itself to an abstract approach to documentation. The narrow space is anchored by a statement basin carved from solid stone, a hallmark of the brand's retail locations and a natural focal point. Playing with the curvature of the architectural intervention, the repetition of the milled cork, and the dichotomy of presence/void produced a suite of images unified by a monochromatic palette punctuated by Claus Porto's colorful products.
