Galerie 54 resides in a Robert Mallet-Stevens building that was commissioned by and designed for the Martel brothers, sculptors who used the cavernous ground floor space as their atelier. The completely open space and bands of clerestory windows provide a fitting modernist backdrop to Galerie 54's vintage French mid-century furniture by the likes of Pierre Jeanneret and Jean Prouvé. The photos show off the scale of the double height room, giving the collectible furniture context and room to breathe.
