Architects Todd Rouhe and Maria Ibañez de Sendadiano, the partners behind IdS/R architecture, designed a second home for their family in upstate New York. They drew upon their experience designing homes for clients upstate to inform the design of their own abode. The resulting open-concept cabin is an economical, energy-efficient yet dramatic model for a rural vacation home. The couple worked with the Danish industrial design company Vipp, whose kitchen anchors the living space.
